Project Description
The CaFiN project, implemented by ForestAction Nepal and the Climate Policy Initiative from February 7, 2025, to September 13, 2026, aims to enhance climate finance access for women-led and women-involved enterprises in agriculture and forestry in Dolakha, Nepal. By assessing barriers and opportunities, the project seeks to develop a scalable model for improving financial access through targeted provisions. Key activities include studying women-led local institutions, providing training on Dasingre collection methods, expanding low-carbon distillation units, and supporting four operational enterprises with business plans and workshops. Additionally, the project will conduct policy studies and debates to promote equitable and sustainable enterprise management, engaging over 100 stakeholders, including local governments and NGOs, to foster inclusive and environmentally sustainable economic growth.
